Arlene Arcangel
Arlene has served as the treasurer for two FMA presidents. She has volunteered on projects and activities of FMA. Arlene works at US Bank as IT Production Support Specialist. She has 2 children Rosey and Gabe (former FMYO Vice President) and a handsome and athletic grandson Blake.
Nicole Dailo
Nicole F. Dailo is corporate employment counsel at Life Time, Inc. (formerly Life Time Fitness, Inc.), where she manages employment litigation and advises business leaders on labor and employment issues. Nicole previously worked as an employment associate at Nilan Johnson Lewis P.A. and as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Julia W. Brand in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. In the Twin Cities legal community, Nicole serves on the executive board of the Minnesota Asian Pacific American Bar Association, mentors law students at the University of St. Thomas, and previously volunteered as a pro bono asylum attorney with the Advocates for Human Rights. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2011 and earned her J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law in 2014.
She is married to Christopher Jison and they reside in Lakeville.
Lemuel Dava
Former President of FMA. He began service in the Filipino community in 1985 as an appointed Board Member to FMA while the President of Philippine Student Association at the University of Minnesota. Elected Vice President of FMA for 2004-05 and assumed the presidency in mid-2004. Reelected FMA President for 2006-07 during which he founded the FMA Basketball Invitational. Over the years has chaired FMA’s major events such as the Debutantes Balls, the Annual Meetings, FMA Basketball Invitationals, and Golf Tournaments.
He is self-employed as the authorized representative of LBC Cargo Services in Minnesota. Previous employment included financial advisory supervision at Ameriprise Financial, Real Estate Sales with Keller Williams, Real Property Appraiser, and as a product marketer at West Publishing, Thompson Corp.
He resides in Brooklyn Park, MN and is married to Joy Dava, also former FMA President, and father two adult children, Alexa, and Keenan Dava.
Corazon “Coree” Fos
Coree, a native of Bacolod City, is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of University of St La Salle with a degree of BS Nursing. She arrived in Minnesota in 2018 through the International Nurse Recruitment (INR) Program of Presbyterian Homes & Services, and currently affiliated with St. Andrew's Village as the Clinical Administrator. At present, she is one of the Public Relation Officers of the Philippine Nurses Association-MN.
On her free time, she loves to play tennis, hang out with friends, and connect with her family.
Denise Lieser
Eric Lleva
Eric has previous FMA experience as Auditor and as a member of various committees. He was an original advisor of FMYO. He attended the University of MN and Northwestern University and has been working as a financial advisor for Ameriprise since 1991.
He resides in St. Paul with his wife Kari, and daughters, Ingrid and Helen.
Noemi Nacionales
Aida Ramos
Aida has been an FMA Board Member in the past and has volunteered to help in various activities of FMA. She is also active in several community organizations and currently serve as Second VP of Filipino Catholic Community of Minnesota. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from General Emilio Aguinaldo College. She worked in Saudi Arabia for seven years before moving to the US in 1997. She’s currently working at Abbott as a pacemaker inspector.
She is married to Bayani Ramos, and they have two daughters, Danya and KC (married Evan Kroeger).
Janet Torres
Janet has volunteered in various projects and activities of FMA. Janet works as House Coordinator of Golden Pond Home in White Bear Lake managing residents schedule, planning dietary necessities, and promoting optimal health. She also works at Presbyterian Home as cook/lead server.
She is married to Manny Torres, and they are very blessed with three girls, AJ, Irish, and Kim.
Jonathan “Joey” Velasco
Joey graduated with bachelor of science in nursing at Our Lady of Fatima College 1991, full scholar, under the national integrated study grant program (NISGP), graduated Master of arts in nursing 2009 at the Philippine college of health sciences.
Former medical representative for American Cyanamid, Lederle division, and Wyeth Philippines. He was a Charge nurse while in Baguio General Hospital. He is a Registered Nurse for Presbyterian Homes under contract from 2013 – 2017, and currently works as a Registered Nurse at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) behavioral unit.
He is a member and the current sector officer of the Philippine Cordilleran Community in Minnesota (PCCM) and is a member of Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA)
He is married to Elizabeth, a coordinator for chemical dependency and addiction services at University of Minnesota Medical Center. Joey is a father of three young men, Jovic, a flight attendant for Sun Country Airlines, Jello, a dental technician with Aspen Dental and Jay, a Federal employee with the Department of Justice. He is a grandpa to Lizzypotpot who is 2.5 yrs old.
Darwin Yasis
Darwin currently works as a Senior Manager and leads the Civil / Transportation Group for WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leading multinational engineering firm which offers one of the largest professional services in the U.S. and in the world. He is a former chairperson of Innovative Transportation Solutions with the MN Department of Transportation. Currently, he serves as chairperson for the Transportation Committee of the American Society of Civil Engineers in MN.
Darwin is an active member of the community and served as past president of the Fil-Minnesotan Association. He is also currently the President for the Philippine Center of MN.
Darwin is married to his lovely wife Susan and enjoys spending his spare time being with the family and playing with their lovely daughters Kianna, Shayna, and Danica.
Mae Zuniga
Mae lives in Otsego, MN with her husband Alex, and their two daughters, Alexa & Mya. Her full-time job is as a financial clearance for Allina Health, and she works from home.
